The Rise in Popularity of the Vampire Saga
With the Twilight hysteria, it’s really no surprise that vampire novels are flying off the shelves and the sudden surge in movies and televisions programmes being released based on popular books on vampires is creating quite a stir. It seems that the world has become blood thirsty for vampire fiction, movies and television once again.
If you thought that it was just teenagers and young adults getting caught up in this Vampire craze you would be mistaken. There seems to be more and more adults discovering and falling in love with vampire novels and movies. The Twilight Saga movies and the True Blood and Vampire Diaries television shows have all contributed to this sweeping craze but I don’t think they would be half as popular if it weren’t for their original book counterpart.
While stories of Vampires have been passed around for centuries, they have never been as popular as they have become now. Although the characteristics and descriptions of what Vampires are have been highly dramatized and changed over the years. What used to be a demonic, evil blood sucking creature that only comes out at night, has now become a more romantic character with many differing supernatural abilities.
There has been a huge influx of specialty blogs, forums and fansites directed to specific vampire movies and books which is great for people wanted to find vampire books to read, or movies to watch. These sites have regular discussions and forums so the vampire lover can find out all the latest vampire news and new releases.
